Johnny Depp (57) has another appointment with the judge next month. Sometime between March 15 and 31, a UK Supreme Court hearing will be held on the reopening of the actor’s lawsuit against ‘The Sun’ over the use of the term ‘woman abuser’, British media report.
The actor was told in November that there was insufficient evidence that the case involved libel because there was enough evidence that he assaulted his ex-wife Amber Heard. The actor wanted to appeal the decision, but that was rejected. Depp therefore went to the Supreme Court because he wants the case to be reopened.
The legal battle between Johnny and Amber, who accuse each other of assault and themselves deny having loose hands, is not over anyway. The actor took his ex to court after an article she wrote about the alleged abuse, after which she also sued him. That case is scheduled for later this year.
