American composer and songwriter Jim Steinman, responsible for major hits by Meat Loaf (photo) and Céline Dion, among others, has passed away at the age of 73. TMZ reports that . A cause of death has not been disclosed.
Steinman has a large number of musical squatters on his resume. He wrote and produced Paradise by the Dashboard Light by Meat Loaf, Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler and It’s All Coming Back to Me Now , of which his version with Céline Dion is best known.
Although the songwriter has been in the business for over forty years and has made big hits, he has only won one Grammy Award. Steinman received this in 1997 for his work on Céline Dion’s album Falling Into You .
