Jennifer Lopez (51) has entered into a multi-year partnership with streaming service Netflix. Her production company Nuyorican Productions has signed a contract to start up various projects in the coming years with an emphasis on female actors, writers and filmmakers.
“I believe there is no better home for us”
Two projects from the singer’s production company and her business partner Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas are already in the works for Netflix. Work is currently underway on The Mother , a film about a female murderer, directed by Niki Caro.
Lopez, 51, says he is very happy with the collaboration with the streaming service. “I believe there is no better home for us than a company that wants to challenge conventional notions of art and entertainment.”
