The first season of the Netflix series Sex Education was very well received by critics. A second season was already announced at the beginning of February and the first images of it have now appeared.
“Okay, it’s official, Sex Education season 2 has started”
Netflix is going to make eight new episodes about the life of adolescent boy Otis and his mother, who is a sex therapist. The series is especially loved because of the refreshing and woman-friendly way in which the coming-of-age story is presented. The funny plot with many uncomfortable and warm moments has stolen many hearts. For example, around 40 (!) Million accounts were watching the series in the first month alone.
On the Twitter account of Netflix UK and Ireland you can see that the cast has already started the second season. “Okay, it’s official, Sex Education season 2 has started,” they write.

Screenwriter Laurie Nunn said earlier that she finds it exciting to get started, because of all expectations. “It is unbelievable that people all over the world felt so connected with the characters that emerged as ideas in my head. I am enormously grateful to everyone who has taken the time to watch the series, and I cannot wait to continue this great journey. “
In the series we follow 16-year-old Otis, played by Asa Butterfield, whose mother is a sex therapist. Otis is having a hard time in high school, but he knows how to work himself up the social ladder by practicing his mother’s profession among his fellow students. This produces enormously funny scenes in which sex is talked about openly. His mother Jean, played by Gillian Anderson, does not make life any easier for the teenager.
