US-based Black Entertainment Television (BET) is shutting down for Hit the Floor television series after four seasons.
Hit the Floorwill not officially have a season 5. Already canceled by VH1 (music channel owned by MTV Networks) because of a drop in audience, the comedy drama of James LaRosa is also canceled by BET (specialized channel for the public afro- American) for the same reason despite two years of waiting between season 3 and season 4 and a new cast. The series followed the hectic life of a team of cheerleaders. Nevertheless, at the beginning of Hit the Floor, the story focused on Ahsha Hayes, a young teenager who wanted to join the Devil Girls in Los Angeles, a famous dance troupe that her mother had worked with in the past. However, after passing the auditions successfully, Ahsha had to succeed in being accepted by the Olivia leader, Captain Jelena and even Pete Davenport,

The “new and last cast” was composed of Katherine Bailess (Kyle Hart), McKinley Freeman (Derek Roman), Jonathan McDaniel (German Vega), Jodi Lyn O’Keefe (Lionel Davenport), Brent Antonello (Jude Kinkade), Tiffany Hines (Eve Vincent), Teyana Taylor (London Scott), Kyndall Ferguson (Jamie Lawson), Cort King (Pax Lowe) and Kristian Kordula (Noah).
