Robert Pattinson (35) returns in the sequel to ‘The Batman’. Warner Bros. announced on Tuesday at the four-day CinemaCon film fair in Los Angeles that the 35-year-old Briton will once again shine in the famous black cape.
In addition to Pattinson, director Matt Reeves will return for the sequel to the blockbuster hit, Warner Bros. revealed. The 56-year-old filmmaker confirmed during a presentation at the film fair that he will write and direct the film. Reeves was unable to provide details, such as a date on which shooting should start or when the film should start running. In fact, he said he wouldn’t be able to share such details until the next CinemaCon in 2023.
The Batman came out in early March this year to critical acclaim. In the film, Batman befriends Catwoman, played by Zoë Kravitz. Together they take on Riddler (Paul Dano) and Penguin (Colin Farrell). The superhero film brought in almost one and a half million euros in the Netherlands in the first weekend, a record, distributor Warner Bros. In the United States, that was 248.5 million euros.
