X-Files star Gillian Anderson is in talks to play former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in Netflix’s “The Crown” series.

Gillian Anderson knows his interlocutor because it is his companion Peter Morgan, creator and screenwriter of “The Crown”, a real cardboard Netflix streaming platform. According to the Daily Mail, the actress is about to convince him that she will be Margaret Thathcher in future episodes of the series that tells the reign of Elizabeth II. Peter Morgan had already made known his desire to work again with his companion. “We had worked together on ‘The Last King of Scotland’, we were both married on our side and there was a lease,” he said. “I would like to work with her again.”

The third season of Netflix’s historical drama is currently in full swing with a new cast. The British actress Olivia Colman took over the role of the sovereign incarnated in the first two seasons by Claire Foy. Tobias Menzies will be the next Prince Philip and Helena Bonham Carter will wear the clothes of Queen’s youngest daughter, Princess Margaret.
