Gigi Hadid is opening up about her and boyfriend Zayn Malik’s parenting methods for their daughter Khai.

The 25-year-old fashion icon spoke about their four-month-old daughter being taught about the different origins, cultures and religions that represent her.

Speaking about the religion that her daughter will follow, with Zayn of Muslim origin and Gigi also of Islamic roots, through her father, the model said that she wants Khai to “explore”.

“I felt that I was allowed to learn about all religions as a child. I think it’s good to take different pieces of different religions that you connect with, and I think this is how we will do it, “he said in his interview to Vogue.

“I think giving your child the opportunity to explore different interests is such a beautiful thing,” she continued.

She also talked about the Islamophobia that she and her brother Anwar Hadid had to face growing up and how she wants her daughter to deal with it differently.

“My brother, when he was in elementary school, someone told him, ‘Your dad is a terrorist,’ because that was after 9/11,” he said.

“I think Zayn and I want our daughter to fully understand all of her background, and we also want to groom her,” she continued.

“If someone says something to you at school, we want to give you the tools to understand why other kids would do that and where that comes from,” he added.

Gigi grew up in a family of immersed faith like her father, Mohamed Hadid is a Palestinian Muslim while her mother, Yolanda Hadid is a Christian.

Zayn, on the other hand, also grew up in a Muslim family with roots in Pakistan.
