Almost every child in the United States for Christmas is waiting for gifts from Santa Claus and preparing cookies with milk for him. But not the children of Gabriel Union and Dwayne Wade. It turns out that the famous basketball player does not believe in fairy tales and forbids his sons and daughters to believe in them.
The star of the series “Best in Los Angeles” talked with journalist Tamron Hall and told how Christmas is celebrated in her family.
I can offer my husband: “Let’s tell the children what gifts Santa brought?”. And he will invariably answer: “I will never let them believe that some white old man is sneaking into our house to do anything for them.” He himself grew up, not believing in this tale,
– shared the Union.

Gabriel and Dwayne brings up four children: the three sons of the basketball player Xavier, Malachi and Zaire and their common 10-month-old daughter, Kaavia James. According to the actress, she and her husband always discuss when it is possible to allow children to dream, and when to teach them strict life rules right away.

Hall agreed with Wade and noted that this everyday topic really deserves special attention, because black citizens have not only a dilemma: to allow children to believe in Santa or not. A separate issue is the racial affiliation of a fairy-tale character. The journalist is also raising a 4-month-old child and soon, in her opinion, she will have to explain to her son that Klaus is not black.
