Good news for fans of Dontnod’s Vampyr and Focus Home Interactive. The dark world of the game, appeared last June, will be entitled to its film adaptation following the announcement of a partnership with Fox21.
Fox21 announced the acquisition of television rights to the game so that Wonderland Sound & Vision and DJ2 Entertainment turn the adventure into a TV series that will certainly be very dark and … bloody.
” We think it’s a fantastic premise for a TV show. This is an exciting new way for fans of the game, as well as for the uninitiated, to participate in the rich and deep history of Vampyr. We can not wait to see how the talented Fox21 team will showcase the dark universe of our game on television. -Oskar Guilbert, CEO of Dontnod
” We are excited to partner with Fox21 for the adaptation of Vampyr in a television series. Dontnod has created a unique and dark immersive world with deep narrative, which has already made Vampyr a classic of the modern video game. We look forward to seeing Fox21 bring all his talent and experience into launching a TV show that will allow an even wider audience to discover the fantastic universe of Vampyr. -Jurgen Goeldner, CEO of Focus Home Interactive
In order to view the final result, it will certainly wait several months, even years, since no release date has been announced yet.
