Former Miss USA Cheslie Kryst died Sunday morning at the age of 30, after she jumped from her apartment complex in New York City. The family and authorities confirm this to ‘CNN’.
“Our Hearts Are Broken”
On Sunday morning, police received a report of a person who had jumped out of a building in New York. A little later it was announced that this is Cheslie. Her family said in a statement to CNN : “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Cheslie. Her light inspired others around her. She had lots of love, she smiled and she radiated.”
In 2019, Cheslie was crowned Miss USA. Just before her death, Cheslie shared a photo of herself. “May this day give you rest and peace,” she captioned it. Meanwhile, the sad messages are pouring in under the photo. People react in disbelief.

The organization of Miss Netherlands can hardly contain the shocking news. This morning we woke up to the terrible news that Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst took her own life. Our hearts are broken. Dear Cheslie, you were an inspiration to many and we hope you found the peace you were looking for,” they wrote on Facebook.
