Reese Witherspoon and Hello Sunshine CEO Sara Harden will serve on the new firm’s board of directors and will continue to oversee day-to-day operations. They will also remain major shareholders.
Thanks to Hello Sunshine, films and TV series have been made such as Big Little Lies, Gone Gone, and And Fire Smolders Everywhere. Now Witherspoon is ready for the next big step for women.
“I’m going to double this mission and hire more women authors from all walks of life and showcase my expertise. This is a significant step in the world because it really means that women’s stories matter, ”the actress wrote on her Instagram.
Reese Witherspoon is an active advocate for women’s rights around the world. The actress leads several projects. These include podcasts, Hello Sunshine, the YWCA, UN Women and Time’s Up, which she helped launch in 2018. Her production company adhered to similar goals.
