Columbus already had Home Alone and Mrs. Doubtfire made before filming JK Rowling’s book. Despite his experience, he was afraid not to get it right.
“For the first two weeks, all I really thought was that I was going to get fired. If I did one thing wrong, it would be done. inside I was overflowing with emotion, “said the director.
Columbus is regularly complimented on his film adaptation and had a lot of fun shooting the film adaptation of the second book. “There I had the feeling that I could show a little more of myself, because it was okay now.”
After the second film, Columbus was replaced by several other directors. He would have liked to return for the final parts, but is a fan of the David Yates film adaptation. “He had the choice to stay and he did it really well. I especially love the last movie. I think it’s brilliant.”
