Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz Announce Their Engagement
In a People exclusive, it has been revealed that Hollywood stars Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz are set to tie the knot, marking the next chapter in their love story. The couple, first romantically linked in 2021, recently got engaged, according to multiple sources.
The news of their engagement became the talk of the town after the pair was spotted leaving a Halloween party over the weekend. Notably, Kravitz, dressed as Rosemary Woodhouse from the 1968 horror classic “Rosemary’s Baby,” was seen proudly flaunting her new engagement ring in the event photographs.
Kravitz, known for her role as Catwoman in “The Batman,” previously spoke about her relationship with the 43-year-old actor in a cover interview for GQ’s 2022 Men of the Year issue. She couldn’t help but praise Tatum, describing him as a “wonderful human.”
In her own words, Kravitz shared, “He makes me laugh, and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do. We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other.”
Their paths initially crossed during the casting process for Kravitz’s upcoming directorial debut, “Pussy Island.” During the shoot, Tatum served as her guardian and provided unwavering support.
“Whether it was making me tea or pouring me a drink or going to whip someone into shape or whatever — he really was my protector and it was really wonderful and sweet,” Kravitz fondly recalled. She also added, “I think if you can do something like that together, it’s a good test. And we came out even stronger.”
Reports from last year had already indicated that the couple, whose dating status was confirmed by People during the summer of 2021, were very content together. An insider shared, “Their careers are a big focus, and they share this passion. When they are off, they are very low-key. They enjoy quiet date nights with friends but most often just hang out at home.”
Tatum, who refrained from discussing their romantic relationship, had previously stated in a February interview with Variety, “She’s a perfectionist in the best possible way.”
In “Pussy Island,” Tatum, a father to 10-year-old daughter Everly (with ex-wife Jenna Dewan), takes on the role of Slater, a philanthropist and tech mogul, who whisks away cocktail waitress Frida, portrayed by Naomi Ackie, to his enigmatic private island.
Kravitz expressed her gratitude for the film and how it brought Tatum into her life in a creatively collaborative manner. She emphasized the importance of the bond formed when creating art together, saying, “When you make things with people, it’s a very sacred space, and when you’re compatible with somebody creatively, it often opens up other channels because you’re kind of sharing all of yourself.”
