Keya Morgan, the former manager of comic artist Stan Lee (95), who died last year, was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of elder abuse. Various American media report this.
Morgan was previously charged with, among other things, theft, tampering with money and embezzlement. For example, he would have put the revenues of a signing session in May last year, for which Lee received more than $ 262,000 (nearly $ 234,000) in his own pocket. The authorities also say that Morgan tried to manipulate the cartoon magnate and would have physically and emotionally abused him. Morgan’s lawyer says his client is innocent.
The former manager is brought before a court in Arizona before he is expected to be extradited to the authorities in Los Angeles. The deposit amounts to 300,000 dollars, converted to around 268,000 euros.
