Eva Mendes commented on the news that she completed her acting career: in recent years, the actress does not appear on the screens and practically does not attend social events.
In addition, she rarely gets into the lenses of photographers and is not very active on social networks, since she devotes all her time to her family.
So, Mendes published a new post on Instagram * in which she stated that she had never left the profession and was going to continue her acting career. She wrote that she is much more selective in her choice of roles, since she has children and family is a priority for her:
I wanted to be at home with my kids, and my other projects allowed me to spend more time with them than acting.
In addition, she noted that not all the roles that she is offered suit her:
I didn’t like the stereotypical characters that I was offered, it would be boring to play them. Especially after working on the film “How to Catch a Monster” – it was a dream project for me, it turned out to be almost impossible to find something of the same level.
She noted that she was ready for more interesting proposals.
The role in the film “How to Catch a Monster”, which was released in 2015, was the last acting job of the actress. The director of the picture was the beloved Mendes Ryan Gosling .
This summer, Eva Mendes already admitted that she wants to return to the cinema, but so far she has not received an offer to star in a project that would hook her.
