Geoffrey Palmer has died at the age of 93, BBC News reports Friday. The English actor is best known for his roles in the series The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin and Butterflies .
According to his agent, Palmer passed away peacefully at home.
Palmer has also played roles in the likes of Fawlty Towers , Doctor Who and the James Bond movie Tomorrow Never Dies . In 2004 he was admitted to the Order of the British Empire for his contribution to the stage.
According to BBC News , Palmer was very fond of his privacy. The actor rarely gave interviews.
