Harry Potter actress Emma Watson (29) wants to encourage women to know their rights in the workplace. Emma started a telephone advice line for women dealing with sexual harassment at work, The Guardian reports.
“This advice line is a gigantic development”
“Understanding your rights and how to enforce them, and the choice you have when experiencing undesirable behavior is such an essential part of creating a safe workplace for everyone, and this advice line is a huge development to help to ensure that all women are supported wherever we work, ”said the actress. The advice line was created through donations from the public, including donations from Watson himself.
The project was set up by the actress and the organization Time’s Up . That organization was set up by more than 300 actresses, writers and directors in response to allegations of sexual harassment by film producer Harvey Weinstein.
