Emma Watson, who starred in the Harry Potter film series Hermione Granger, has considered quitting her role prematurely. Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) also had similar thoughts. That’s what the actors tell in the HBO Max special in which the former cast comes together to reminisce.

“I think I was scared,” Watson says in conversation with Grint. “Maybe you felt it too, but it was like this would be like this for the rest of my life.”
Grint recognizes that feeling. “I often wondered what my life would be like if I stopped acting. We never really talked about it at all. I guess it didn’t occur to us that we all felt a bit the same. ”
Still, Watson decided to stay: “The fans wanted that and we supported each other too. How great is that?”
The series’ 20th anniversary reunion was shot at the Warner Bros. studio in Leavesden and will air January 1 in the United Kingdom by Sky and can be seen in the United States on HBO Max.
