Eddie Murphy has confirmed that A Detective Loose in Beverly Hills 4 will be his next movie.
Murphy is already returning to one of his most emblematic roles, starring in a sequel to his 1988 classic comedy, Coming to America, which is titled Coming 2 America, which will premiere in 2020.
Now he has revealed that his next project will be a fourth Beverly Hills Cop movie.
“Yes, that’s what we are doing after Coming 2 America,” he told the American website Collider. “We are doing Beverly Hills Cop and then the plan is to return to the stage and stand-up.”
The 58-year-old star enjoys a professional revival after being largely inactive since 2012. In addition to the sequel to Coming 2 America, he also signed an agreement with Netflix to make specials.
Murphy will also host Saturday Night Live, where he was a cast member from 1980 to 1984, and said his plan is to revisit some of the highlights of his initial career, in case he wants to retire forever .
