The mother of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has received a new home from her son as a Christmas present. On Instagram, the actor shares a video in which his mother reads a card, in which she receives a ‘golden ticket’ to choose her new home herself.

Johnson places a long caption with the film to thank his mother. “We used to live in small apartments all over the country and the first real house my parents lived in, they got from me in 1999.”

The Jumanji actor and former wrestler says that his parents divorced five years later. “Since then I have always ensured that my father and mother have everything they need: houses, cars and so on, but the house she gets this time is special and the moment this happens is significant. “

The actor is also happy that he is able to give this kind of gifts. 

This week it was announced that Johnson earns 22 million dollars (19.1 million euros) with his new film Jungle Cruise.

This one felt good. Surprise! Bought my mom a new home for Christmas. All our lives growing up we lived in little apartments all across the country. Lived like gypsies on the road from one state to another. The first home my parents ever lived in was the one I bought for them in 1999. They divorced about 5yrs later and as with life, stuff happens and things got a little complicated. Since then I always made sure my mom and dad have everything they’ll ever need – houses, cars etc. But the house this time is a special one and the timing is very meaningful. I told her to treat this card like it’s “Willy Wonka’s Golden Ticket” because she gets to choose any home she wants – anywhere she wants. I always say, if you got a good mama, then you gotta pretty good shot at becoming a decent human being.
