Dwayne Johnson expressed gratitude as his mother emerged unscathed from a car accident.
The actor posted an image on Instagram showing the wreckage of the red car his mother, Ata Johnson, was in. The 74-year-old was reportedly in the vehicle.
In the caption, Johnson wrote that his mother’s accident was protected by “angels of mercy.” He added that she would be undergoing further evaluations.
The actor praised his mother’s strength, noting that she has overcome lung cancer, a difficult marriage, a head-on collision with a drunk driver, and an attempted suicide. He believes she embodies the essence of a survivor and is a living testament to miracles.
Despite not providing any information about the accident, Johnson expressed his gratitude towards the first responders. He thanked the LAPD and LAFD for their compassionate and professional handling of the situation.

The actor also shared that he was on the phone with the first responders during the incident.
Johnson ended his post with a message encouraging people to cherish their parents. He emphasized that it’s important to give them a hug, as one never knows when they might receive the unexpected 3 AM call.

Johnson’s father, professional wrestler Rocky Johnson, died of a pulmonary embolism in 2020 at age 75.
