This soap opera, taken from the 2005 film starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, will be broadcast in 2022 on Prime Video, Amazon’s streaming service.
Donald Glover and Phoebe Waller-Bridge are the new Mr. & Mrs. Smith. The two actors will be the headliners of a series from the eponymous film by Doug Liman. Released in 2005, it starred Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in the skin of the couple of hired killers. The two new recruits made the announcement themselves on Instagram.
As reported by the specialist site Variety , this project is being carried out by Amazon Studios, with Francesca Sloane ( Fargo ) as showrunner. In addition to their roles, Donald Glover and Phoebe Waller-Bridge are also executive producers of this series, which will air in 2022.

Donald Glover and Phoebe Waller-Bridge already worked together in 2018, on the movie Solo: A Star Wars Story . They also both collaborated with Amazon: Phoebe Waller-Bridge is the creator and star of the Prime Video series Fleabag , while Donald Glover’s film with Rihanna, Guava Island , was an Amazon Original production.
