Chrissy Teigen will no longer guest-star in the Netflix series Never Have I Ever , Variety writes . She withdrew after it became clear last month that she had harassed reality star Courtney Stodden online about a decade ago.
At the time, Stodden was married to actor Doug Hutchison. There is an age difference between the two of about 34 years. Because of that marriage, Stodden received a torrent of negative reactions, from Teigen among others. He would have written, among other things, that she “couldn’t wait until Stodden was dead”.
In response to the fuss, Teigen apologized on Twitter last month. “I was an insecure, attention-seeking troll. I’m ashamed of my behavior, but it’s nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel,” she wrote, among other things. She hasn’t posted a single tweet since then.
Never Have I Ever is a coming-of-age comedy by Mindy Kaling. Teigen could be heard as the narrator in one episode of the second season. A replacement is now being sought.
Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past bullshit in front of the entire world. I’m mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behavior but that…
