Singer Céline Dion performed again for the first time since her ear operation on Monday evening. Because of the operation she could not give shows for two months.
Dion performed at The Colosseum in Las Vegas. According to the entertainment website People , the Canadian singer “extremely happy” was back on stage.
“It’s a kind of my home next to my regular home and I have to admit that I can barely stand on my legs because of the nerves”, she told her audience. “It does not matter how long you’re doing shows, but every time you do one, you get nervous, I have butterflies in my stomach tonight.”
50-year-old Dion had been struggling for more than a year with an ear infection, for which she had to go under the knife. Owing to the ear infection, Dion could not hear himself well during performances.
Initially Dion did not want to be operated, so she tried with medication to reduce the pain. That turned out not to be enough and an intervention turned out to be inevitable.
In January, the singer also had to cancel a number of shows because of a stubborn flu.
