When the insiders said that Disney and Marvel had seriously aimed through the “Black Panther” to make a small revolution and for the first time in history to get an “Oscar” for a superhero blockbuster, they did not exaggerate at all. Last year, Warner Bros. had similarly ambitious plans for an Oscar. with her “Wonder Woman”, but ultimately the superhero blockbuster DC did not take any nominations at all. Something tells us that Disney and Marvel with the “socially significant” “Black Panther” will get better.
Nominees for the Oscar will be announced on January 22, 2019, and the ceremony will take place one month after this – on February 24, 2019.
