The flags are displayed at Tina Turner. The legendary singer is celebrating her 80th birthday on Tuesday and is tackling this milestone in a big way. For example, she gives a party and a special photo album with snapshots of Tina and personal letters from her famous friends appears.

The singer originally wanted to give the photo album as a gift to her birthday guests, but nevertheless returned to this. The book That’s My Life will first appear on Tuesday in a limited box for eight hundred of its biggest fans. This is a replica of a ring from Tina and a piece of fabric from her Armani dress. The regular version will follow later.
The singer herself is very enthusiastic that she can treat her birthday. “Looking at the work in this book gives me the feeling that I want to dance through the pages,” Tina said in a statement.
The life and oeuvre of the singer is also celebrated in TINA – The Tina Turner Musical . The Stage Entertainment production can be seen in London, Hamburg and on Broadway. The Dutch version will premiere on February 9 in the Beatrix Theater in Utrecht.
For fans, the musical is one of the few ways to still see the singer’s songs live. Tina herself said goodbye to the stage twelve years ago because she was done with it.
With a career of more than five decades, the singer can look back on an impressive oeuvre. At the beginning of her career together with Ike, her partner on a musical and personal level, and later solo. After Tina left him in 1976 for abusing her, she scored her greatest successes. The singer has twelve Grammy Awards on the mantelpiece, she has released ten studio albums solo and has sold more than 200 million records worldwide.
