Beyoncé (40) has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for the first time this year. The singer has a chance in the category of Best Original Song for the theme song she made for ‘Talks with Mama Tina’, her mother’s Facebook program. The organization announced this on Thursday.
Although Beyoncé has never been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award, the American prize for television programs and series that are broadcast during the day, she has often had a chance at the more famous Primetime Emmy Awards. The singer has never won.
Soaps are the top contenders at this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards. The Young and the Restless leads with eighteen nominations, followed by General Hospital with seventeen.
The award ceremony will take place on June 24. The Primetime Emmy Awards will be presented on September 12. The nominations have not yet been announced.
