The actress found out about her pregnancy when filming was about to begin, and preferred to keep it a secret.
Anne Hathaway opened up about her highly publicized pregnancy with her second child while appearing on a talk show recently.
The actress revealed that her second son, who was born in December 2019, is named Jack.
The reveal came when Hathaway sat down to chat with Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, “Jack is old enough to fight, and that has brought a new element to their relationship that is really cute,” she said.
The actress revealed that she was “pregnant when” she filmed The Witches. “So technically, he’s in on all that performance,” the Emmy winner joked during her appearance on Live With Kelly and Ryan.
She added: “Costume designer Joanna Johnston used to say, ‘I really want you to have a really tight waist. And I had just found out that I was pregnant and I was like, ‘Hmm, no. No I dont think so. No. ‘And she said,’ Well, why? ‘And I was like,’ Hey, you know, I know myself. I just know myself and I know that I will not be so free. I won’t be so free if I’m limited by my waist, so we better do everything very loosely. ‘
Hathaway also revealed why she decided to keep things about her two sons off social media.
“I decided to post a photo of the back of Jonathan’s head [in March 2017], and almost as soon as I did, I regretted it,” Hathaway recalled.
“I felt like I had broken some kind of seal by inviting people into my life. And although I felt that I had done it in the most protective way possible, although it was a moment that I was incredibly proud of, I don’t know if I will do it again, “she added.
