Angelina Jolie and Christoph Waltz are in talks with production company STX Films for the book adaptation of Every Note Played . Variety reports this on Friday.

The production company has obtained the rights to the book and is currently in negotiations with the two actors.

Jolie will play the role of Karina, the ex-wife of the successful pianist Richard (Waltz). When the pianist is diagnosed with the muscle disease ALS, his career goes downhill and Karina takes care of her ex-husband.

Michael Sucsy, the director of 13 Reasons Why and The Vow , is reportedly set to direct the film. It is not yet known when the film will be released.

Every Note Played was written by Lisa Genova and was released in 2018. The author also wrote Still Alice , which was made into a film in 2014 with Julianne Moore in the lead role.
