US strikes hit several Syrian military positions on Wednesday in the east of the country, the official SANA news agency reported.
“Some of our military positions between Albu Kamal and Hmeimeh were hit this morning in an airstrike by the US coalition,” said a military source quoted by SANA.
The latter specified that the air attacks caused only “material damage”.
A line of “deconfliction” along the Euphrates, in place since last year, is intended to prevent the regime’s troops west of the river and the Syrian democratic forces to the east, supported by the states. United States, do not clash.
There was no immediate comment from the US-led coalition or Syrian democratic forces fighting to oust ISIS from a final round of villages on the east bank of the Euphrates.
