Alec Baldwin (63) is ‘in shock’ and ‘sad’ about the death of 42-year-old camerawoman Halyna Hutchins. The actor shot her dead on the set of the movie ‘Rust’ with a weapon that served as a prop. “There are no words for it,” he wrote on Twitter.

On the set of the film Rust , the actor shot the prop during filming. Director Joel Souza was injured as a result, but was allowed to return home after a short hospitalization, according to actress Frances Fischer. Camera woman Halyna Hutchins died of her injuries. In addition to blanks, the weapon also contained a real bullet, according to an email from supplier IATSE Local 44.

No charges have been filed against Alec. The actor was released after questioning by the police. The shooting of the film is on hold for the time being.
