Kanye West

Sportswear brand Adidas is investigating possible cross-border behavior of rapper Kanye ‘Ye’ West (Kanye West). The reason for this is an anonymous letter that the German company received.

West has been working with Adidas with his Yeezy brand since 2015, but that collaboration was stopped last month because of anti-Semitic statements by the American rapper.

A spokesperson for Adidas emphasizes that the company cannot determine whether the allegations in the anonymous letter are true. “However, we take the allegations very seriously and have made the decision to immediately launch an independent investigation into the matter.”

The American magazine Rolling Stone spoke with dozens of former employees of Yeezy and Adidas. They accuse West of sowing fear. He is said to have manipulated employees, showed erotic images of his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and was guilty of bullying.

Adidas management would have been informed of this, but “turned a blind eye” and “turned off the moral compass,” the former employees say.

The collaboration between Adidas and Kanye West has already been terminated due to anti-Semitic statements made by Kanye West in various interviews and tweets. “Adidas will not tolerate anti-Semitism or any other form of hate speech.

Ye’s recent statements and actions are unacceptable, hateful and dangerous,” wrote the German company, which had to significantly lower its profit forecast at the beginning of this month due to the termination of the cooperation.
