Peter Dinklage thinks it’s a shame that people now know so much about the personal lives of actors and actresses. The Game of Thrones actor thinks that all that information can damage the interpretation of the work.
“It is becoming increasingly difficult to exclude things, because we know everything about everyone through social media, and when I was growing up I did not know anything about my favorite actors, I did not know what Marlon Brando, Meryl Streep or Alan Arkin had eaten for breakfast”, says Dinklage, who says that he really does not want such information because it can interfere with the performance of a character.
In conversation with Vulture, the 49-year-old actor, who is the father of two children, says that he deliberately does not release details about his personal life. “Knowing nothing about an actor helps them in their work, I’m worried about actors who show everything.”
