Jeanie Mai 41 host of a TV show has been diagnosed with epiglottitis, she has been recently hospitalized. And as per May Clinic in epiglottitis the conditions becomes life threatening as the windpipe of the patient becomes inflamed and can sometimes block the airflow to the lungs of the patient.
A statement given by Jeannie Mai to the Fox News she wouldn’t return to the current season of DWTS where Jeannie Mai was competing with partner Brandon Armstrong.
She said “It saddens me that I will not be able to continue with the competition on ‘DWTS.’ My doctors discovered a health concern with my throat which requires immediate attention and surgery. I am heartbroken that my ‘DWTS’ journey has to end here,”.

While talking to the Fox News She explained her amazing experience with DWTS, she said “The last several weeks have been an amazing learning experience. I have pushed myself to new limits physically and mentally, and I am so proud of how far we’ve come. I can’t thank my partner Brandon enough for being so supportive and believing in me. I also want to thank MAI fans who voted every week and I wish everyone else in the competition the best of luck!”
During the last week performances both Jeannie Mai and Brandon Armstrong narrowly escaped the elimination. In the current week there were supposed to be double elimination but due to Mai withdrawal now one couple would face the elimination.

Since Jeannie had to withdraw from the competition, tonight’s show will feature the eight remaining couples and a single elimination.”
In a previously interview to the Fox News Jeannie Mai told that she couldn’t wait to get back on TV and “reconnect with people.”
