Ben Affleck was photographed again this weekend with a huge tattoo on his back. Two years ago he claimed that the body decoration was fake.
The actor was spotted with the tattoo for the first time at the end of 2015. During the promotional tour for his movie Batman v Superman in 2016 he told in an interview with Extra TV, however, that the tattoo was not real.
“He’s fake, for a movie,” says Affleck. “I do have some tattoos, but I only put them in places where you do not have to worry too much to hide them.”
This weekend the actor spent in Hawaii, where he trained with Charlie Hunnam and Garrett Hedlund on the beach for their Netflix film Triple Frontier. The large colorful phoenix is clearly visible on photographs. It is not clear why Ben pretended that the tattoo was not permanent.
