Geneva | The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights on Wednesday accused the Syrian regime of planning “the apocalypse” in his country, adding that the conflict had entered a new “phase of horror”.
“This month, Eastern Ghouta is described by the [UN] Secretary-General as hell on earth. Next month or next, it will be in another place that people will face the apocalypse, a planned apocalypse, planned and executed by individuals working for the government, apparently with the absolute support of some of their foreign allies ” , denounced Zeid Ra’ad al Hussein during the presentation of his annual report in Geneva.
