A man attacked six people with a knife at the Gare du Nord train station in Paris on Wednesday morning. This is reported by various French media based on police sources.
The incident happened at about 6:45 am. Six people were injured, including one police officer. They would only be slightly injured. The perpetrator was neutralized by the police, who used their weapons. The man would be in mortal danger.
The motive of the perpetrator is currently unknown. According to a source close to the file, there are no indications to speak of a terrorist attack. The judicial police of Paris are investigating.
Initially, there were several shots fired by the perpetrator, but that appears to be incorrect.
The area was cordoned off and train traffic was partially disrupted.
