Chrissy Teigen (36) and her husband John Legend (43) lost their baby, named Jack, during childbirth in 2020 and the model now says on Instagram that she is in the middle of a new IVF treatment. Despite her followers being aware of her painful loss, some still find it necessary to regularly ask if Chrissy is pregnant.
“I’m the opposite of pregnant”
So Chrissy and John, who already have two children named Luna and Miles, are trying to conceive through IVF treatment. Chrissy said on Instagram: “I’m deep in another IVF cycle to save as many eggs as possible and hopefully make some strong, healthy embryos.”
And while such treatment can be very intense, that’s not what bothers Chrissy most. Because of the injections, she gets a bloated belly, which makes her followers constantly wonder if she is pregnant. Chrissy indicates that she has a lot of trouble with this. “I’m begging you to stop asking if I’m pregnant because while I know it’s said with excited, good intentions, it’s still kind of sad to hear,” she wrote. She also says that she is ‘the opposite of pregnant’.

Chrissy indicates that people should stop asking women about this in the first place. And while this is also very sensitive for her, because of her previous loss, the model indicates that she would ‘rather be the one to tell you this than a poor woman who bursts into tears’.
A few months ago, Chrissy looked back on this terrible loss on Instagram with a photo of her and her husband. The photo shows Chrissy crying in a hospital bed after losing her baby. She captioned the photo: “A year ago you gave me the greatest pain I could ever imagine, showing me that I can survive anything, even if I didn’t really want to. I wasn’t allowed to take care of you, but you made me love myself and my own body.”
