Elton John and Ed Sheeran will release another Christmas single next week. The duo, who already released the song ‘Merry Christmas’ two weeks ago, have joined forces with British YouTuber LadBaby.
The three made a new version of ‘Merry Christmas’ together and renamed it ‘Sausage Rolls For Everyone’. The song will be released on December 17. All proceeds go to the British food bank.
In Britain it is a great honor to be number 1 on the charts during Christmas. LadBaby could make history if he makes it to the top again this year. Never before has an artist been in the coveted first place at Christmas for four years in a row. LadBaby succeeded in 2018 with ‘We Built This City’, in 2019 with ‘I Love Sausage Rolls’ and again last year with ‘Don’t Stop Me Eatin”.
LadBaby was thus on a par with The Beatles and the Spice Girls who were number 1 for Christmas between 1963 and 1965 and between 1996 and 1998 respectively.
