Following the deal between the Walt Disney Company and 20th Century Fox, many fans were worried about the future of projects that did not fit with Disney’s family policy. Especially after viewers noticed studio censorship in Splash and Lilo & Stitch. Recently, The Simpsons producer Michael Price in an interview with CBR urged not to worry about the series, because there is no censorship from the new owners.
As far as I can tell, I have not had direct contact with anyone at Disney. They just let us do what we have been doing and what we have been doing for 32 years. They know that everyone knows what our show should look like. They helped a lot and it’s great that the series is now coming to Disney +. The show was originally on Fox, and we continue to work for Fox Network, even though they are now owned by Disney.
