It has been known for some time that Bruce Springsteen (70) is a supporter of the Democrats. The New Jersey singer has now released a new music video for his song ‘The Rising’, in which he openly supports the Democratic presidential candidate, Joe Biden, and expresses his dislike for Trump.
The new video clip of ‘The Boss’ features images that show the current problems in America. You get to see images of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, both of whom were killed by police brutality. In addition to the Black Lives Matter protests, images of the demonstrations for transgender rights also pass by.
With a sign that reads the message “Do Not Trump”, Springsteen does not hide his dislike for the current president. The video ends with campaign footage of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, who himself shared the video on Twitter with the message, “We are the United States. There is nothing we cannot do if we do it together. ”
It is not the first time that The Boss has entered the political scene. During the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections, the rock legend previously stood up for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. In 2008 he did his part by playing a free concert to 50,000 visitors in Philadelphia and eight years ago, along with ex-president Bill Clinton, he actively went out to campaign for Obama. In 2016, Bruce Springsteen received one of the US ex-president’s last presidential freedom medals.
