Film company Sony Pictures is in talks with actress Joey King to sign a contract to play one of the main roles in the action movie Bullet Train. Brad Pitt has already been approved for the role in this film. The film is directed by David Leitch (John Wick, Explosive Blonde) and scripted by Zach Olkiewicz (Fear Street). The tape will be based on the manga by Japanese author Kotaro Isaki. The manga will be published in English next year by the British publisher Harvill Secker.
According to the plot of the manga, five hired killers find themselves on the high-speed train from Tokyo to Morioko. On the way, they find out that their tasks overlap. And it becomes inevitable that at the end point only one of them can get off the train on the platform. The killers start a carnage. Pitt and King will play the roles of two of these hitmen.
Kotaro Isaki’s works are often filmed in Japan. More than ten films have been shot based on his works, including “Golden Dream”, “Beautiful Rain”, “Fish Story” and others.
