The September edition of the British Vogue with Meghan Markle as guest editor is the fastest sold out edition in the magazine’s history. Edward Enninful, editor in chief of the fashion magazine, announced on Thursday via Instagram that the print run of 192,000 copies was sold out in ten days.
In addition to the announcement, Enninful also shared a previously unreleased video with the British Duchess of Sussex behind the scenes. “You have the eye of an editor,” Markle’s editor in chief said. “I have never experienced anything like this before.”
In the video Markle tells how she subtly asked to become a guest editor for Vogue . For her request, the wife of the British prince Harry did not know whether a guest editor of the fashion magazine had happened before.
Markle was the first guest editor in the 103-year history of British Vogue . With his appointment in 2017, Enninful became the first black editor in chief of the fashion magazine.
