David Schwimmer would love to play James Bond, in a comedy restart of the spying franchise.
The Friends star plays Jerry Bernstein, an official with the United States National Security Agency, sent to act as the agency’s liaison in Britain in Intelligence, a new sitcom about the British secret service.
However, he confesses that he would love to play the most famous spy of all, James Bond, but with a funny touch.
“If I were offered to play James Bond, what will never happen in a million years, of course I would take the opportunity,” he told British magazine GQ. “It would be a really ridiculous comedy.”
David also reveals which Friends character would be the best spy, choosing Lisa Kudrow’s Phoebe, because it’s like “You never know when you’re lying. In addition, she has a twin sister, so they could exchange. ”
