In 2011 and 2013, the actress suffered a cerebral aneurysm rupture and says that it was for the better.
After filming the first episode of Game of Thrones, where Emilia played the role of Daenerys Targaryen, she had a brain hemorrhage. Clark says it was painful. The actress twice faced this problem and underwent two complex operations, after which she had a speech disorder and memory loss.
But the actress defeated the disease and fully recovered, and now looks at these events very optimistically.
I think it’s good that it was. Brain hemorrhage coincided with the beginning of my career and the beginning of a cool show. This opened up new perspectives and a new look at things that otherwise would not exist,
– says Emilia.
Clark previously told how hard it was for her to shoot explicit scenes in Game of Thrones. According to her, these scenes were not spelled out in the contract, and the filming management convinced her that if she refused, she would disappoint the audience. Emilia did not want to undress completely and asked to leave at least a sheet in some scenes, but, apparently, this did not work. Clark admitted that she cried in between filming. And she noted that the only one who understood her was her film spouse Jason Momoa, the bed scenes with which were much easier for her.
