Britney Spears was not present at a court session in Los Angeles on her future on Wednesday. The parents of the singer did come to the discussion of the legal authority over the singer.
Earlier, the judge in the case agreed to the request of Britney’s lawyer to discuss the case behind closed doors. Her legal team had asked for this because during the hearing not only her financial and medical situation was discussed, but it would also be about her sons Sean (14) and Jayden (13).
Britney’s father Jamie Spears was given legal authority over his daughter in 2008 because she was not doing well psychologically. Jamie and lawyer Andrew Wallet were given full control over her finances and some personal matters.
Andrew canceled that responsibility last winter. Earlier this month, Spears senior asked for a temporary suspension of his legal authority with regard to personal matters. He indicated that it was for medical reasons, but American media suspect it had something to do with the report Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline made to him. Kevin claims that Jamie Spears grabbed his son Sean too roughly during a fight. In the meantime, the police have indicated that they will not work on the ‘mistreatment’.
