Eary Tuesday Morning an earthquake of 6.9 magnitude has struck off Honshu, according to United States Geological Survey after shocks would shake the cost of Japan for days.
According to report 3 people had been reported injured due to this quake, moreover warning for Tsunami has also been given and was still active for Japan’s Fukushima and Miyagi at 11 a.m.
previously in 2011 the earthquake of 9.0 magnitude struck the same area and this was the worst of Japan’s earthquake and more than 20,000 people were killed and also cuased the meltdown of Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.
This earthquake measuring 6.9 magnitude was 37KM east-southeast of Namie at the depth of 11.4 KM.
It was reported early by the US Geological Survey that the earthquake was of 7.3 magnitude but later the this was downgraded to 6.9. According to meteorological agency this later tremor is an aftershock of 2011 quake. JapanTimes stated that the area has been generating at least 1 earthquake every year measuring 7.0 magnitude.
