Radio 538 has named Dua Lipa (25) the best international act. The Kosovar-British singer, who dominates the 538 Top 50, was awarded the award on Monday.
“Six hits to her name in one year”
This year Dua Lipa released the album Future Nostalgia, of which the singles Don’t Start Now and Levitating became international hits. “Six hits to her name in a year and then to think that 2020 will take another month and a half,” the radio station wrote in a jury report. “We have no choice but to crown this world-class artist.”
The 25-year-old singer also won an award at the American Music Awards on Sunday evening. Her single Don’t Start Now was awarded for best pop / rock song.
It is the second 538 Top 50 award that has been presented this year. Last week, David Guetta, who topped the DJ Mag top 100 again earlier in November, received the 538 Top 50 Lifetime Achievement Award.
