Indiana Shooting: At least two people were killed and four others injured in a shooting at a block party early Sunday in Indiana, the Lafayette Police Department said in a news release.
More than 100 people attended the party at a Lafayette apartment complex, the statement said.
Officers responded to a report of multiple gunshots just before 4:30 a.m., the statement said. A fight had taken place in one of the apartments.
“Police located numerous shell casings inside and outside the apartment, and several apartments and vehicles were hit by gunfire,” the statement said.
An argument that broke out in an apartment sparked a shooting that rained bullets onto a block party attended by 100 people in Indiana.

Tippecanoe County Coroner Carrie Costello told CNN in an email that authorities are trying to identify the men who died and notify their families.
“This remains a fluid situation that continues to evolve as additional evidence is uncovered and additional individuals and victims identified,” police said.
